The Sleep Assessment Unit at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), based at Shatin Hospital, was established in 1986 and was Hong Kong’s first dedicated sleep unit. The centre combines clinical sleep assessment with research activity and has led community-based sleep health initiatives including the Jockey Club Sleep Well Project.

The CUHK Paediatrics Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Unit at Prince of Wales Hospital focuses on paediatric sleep disordered breathing and respiratory sleep medicine. The unit has conducted extensive paediatric sleep investigations and research studies in children.
