Based within the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences at the University of Edinburgh, the Sleep Research Unit investigates the relationships between sleep, brain health, cardiovascular disease, and mental health. Research interests include sleep-disordered breathing, sleep fragmentation, stroke risk, cognitive impairment, and the neuropsychological consequences of sleep disorders. Through clinical and population-based research, the unit contributes to understanding how sleep influences neurological and cardiovascular outcomes while supporting the development of evidence-based approaches to diagnosis and treatment.
