The Surrey Sleep Research Centre (SSRC) at the University of Surrey investigates the biological mechanisms that regulate sleep, circadian rhythms, and human performance. Research interests include sleep-wake regulation, light exposure, ageing, shift work, sleep deprivation, and the molecular consequences of disrupted sleep. Through laboratory, clinical, and translational research, the centre contributes to understanding how sleep and circadian health influence cognition, metabolism, wellbeing, and performance while supporting the development of evidence-based approaches to sleep and circadian disorders.
